The Arabia's Wildlife Center is the only zoo in Arabia which exhibits a variety of unique animals which occur in the Arabian Peninsula, both endangered and extinct. It was inaugurated in September 1999 and encompasses over 100 species of Arabian animals which are presented in safe, abundant and natural surroundings. A tour to this centre takes you through the diverse species of Arabian snakes, monitor lizards, chameleons, fox, porcupines, hedgehogs, mongoose, common insects such as camel spiders, and also birds like Indian Roller birds, Houbara Bustard and flamingos. Last but not least comes the section of baboons, wolves, hyena, cheetah and the Arabian leopard. As the visitors pass by the display panel, they keep getting the information of respective animals through a tape.

The Sharjah National Park located on Al-Dhaid road acquires an area of 155.68 acres, which makes it the biggest parks in the city. Located at Al Qasimi Street, the park is spread across an area of 137000 sq.mt. and is specially built for women, girls and boys below seven years of age. The Sharjah Aquarium is located at Al Meena Street in Al Khan area. The visitors here get acquainted with the vigorous and bright world which lies under the deep sea. The aquarium has showcased a perfect model of marine life. It is home to about 150 different species of clownfish, seahorses, sea rays and reef sharks. There are different fishes from rocky shores, coral reefs, lagoons and mangroves. The aim behind building this aquarium is to raise awareness about the eminence of the marine environment and its protection.
